Kelly A. Bennett, Esq.

Founding Attorney

Kelly has been practicing law since 1991, after graduating with her husband and law partner Greg, from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. With over 23 years of trial and professional mediation experience, Kelly spends her time representing individuals in family law cases, and mediating divorce, real estate, business and employment disputes.

Kelly is a natural born leader, and it shows through her contributions to both the legal and local communities. She has served as a two-time president of the Southwest Riverside County Bar Association, is an appointed Judge Pro Tem for the Riverside County Superior Court serving on temporary assignments for the Family Law bench, and is a charter founding board member of the Southwest Inns of Court – an invitation-only group of judges and attorneys seeking to raise the professional and ethical standards in the legal community. Kelly was also the first woman ever elected to the Murrieta City Council, where she served from 2006 to 2014 as Mayor, Vice Mayor, and co-chaired the international relations, higher education and healthcare subcommittees. Kelly's leadership grew to a regional level, where she served as Chairwoman of the Western Riverside Council of Governments, among other corporate and non-profit boards. It's not uncommon for Kelly to travel to Sacramento and Washington, D.C. representing court, community and regional interests and meeting with legislators to gain their support. Locally, Kelly is proud to have established the Southwest Valley Youth Court (serving Murrieta and Temecula at-risk youth), as well as the Produce for People community garden project, which provides hundreds of tons of fresh produce to area food banks to feed families in need. Other community service includes serving on the advisory board for S.A.F.E., a non-profit, domestic violence prevention agency for victims of abuse, and the Riverside Court's "Veteran's Court" (giving veteran's a second chance after committing PTSD-related crimes). Kelly BennettDid we also mention Kelly's speaking engagements? A popular speaker and teacher on marriage, conflict resolution and leadership, Kelly is routinely engaged to present at various organizations, government groups and churches. Her facilitation skills are also utilized by national organizations for goal setting sessions and other meetings where direction and productive problem solving are needed.

A native Californian, in her free time Kelly can be found surfing the waters of California and Hawaii with her husband, advancing her skateboarding skills, and hanging out with her two daughters: One a soon-to-be attorney and the other an up and coming production editor in the Los Angeles area.
